In terms of my personal work, I explore the concept of sense of self and a navigation of personal experience, shown in a rather abstracted and experimental way. I think this exploration is inspired by introspection, my way of understanding myself as a hispanic woman and attempting to connect to who I am given a certain disconnect to my heritage being Puerto Rican and growing up in the North East in the US. This is the reason for my interest in languages other than English as well as a longing for a visual voice to come through and ultimately tell the untold story.
